Located in northeast Tarrant County, approximately 15 minutes from both Dallas and Fort Worth, Hurst, Euless, and Bedford real estate makes up the area known as the “Mid-Cities.” Home to approximately 136,000 people altogether, Hurst, Euless, and Bedford offer residents a quiet, suburban lifestyle complete with good schools and plenty of parks just minutes from the world-class economic, employment, and entertainment opportunities of the DFW metroplex.

Shopping and Dining

American Eagle, Barnes & Noble, Brookstone, Bed Bath & Beyond, Banana Republic, Carter’s, Coach, Cache, DSW Shoes, Fossil, Gap, Macy’s, and Nordstrom can all be found at the North East Mall in Hurst. The mall is also home to Five Guys Burgers and Fries, Chipotle, Chick-fil-A, Genghis Grill, and a number of other well-known eateries. Two Sister’s Restaurant in Hurst is a local favorite for Cajun and Creole cuisine. Don’t let the bare-bones décor fool you – the shrimp etouffee, fried okra, and po’ boy sandwiches are fantastic! Other popular Hurst restaurants include Abuelo’s, BJ’s Restaurant & Brewhouse, Carino’s Italian, and Café Medi.

Most of Euless’s favorite restaurants are centered on N. Main St., including North Main BBQ, Saviano’s Italian Kitchen, Joe’s Pizza Pasta & Subs, and Asian Village Restaurant. Bedford is also home to a number of national and local restaurants, including Pappadeux Seafood Kitchen, Café Sicilia, Texas Roadhouse, and Posados Café.

Parks and Recreation

Hurst, Euless, and Bedford real estate includes a significant amount of parkland and open spaces. Bedford Boys Ranch Park is one of Bedford’s most popular parks. At 68 acres, the park features a .4-mile jogging path that surrounds a small urban lake, three youth baseball fields, three youth soccer fields, two sand volleyball courts, six lighted recreational tennis courts, a shuffleboard court, a swing set, a roller hockey court, and a fishing pier. The park also is home to Bedford Splash Aquatic Center and the Boys Ranch Activity Center – Bedford’s only recreation center.

The Texas Star Golf Course in Euless offers players a challenging course backed by natural woodlands. The 275-acre, championship public course features stacked rock ponds, waterfalls, and serenity unmatched by most of the DFW area. Hurst is home to two waterparks: Central Aquatics Center and Chisholm Aquatics Center. Additional slides, a wave pool, and a lazy river are key features of the NRH2O Family Water Park in nearby Richland Hills. Six Flags Over Texas is located in nearby Arlington.


Hurst, Euless, and Bedford real estate appeals to many family budgets and is close to everything the DFW area has to offer. Median home cost in Hurst, Euless, and Bedford is $123,800; $132,700; and $152,700, respectively, as of 2012. With close to 52,000 residents, Euless is the most highly populated of the three cities. Known as “Tree City USA,” Euless is also the host of the annual Arbor Daze celebration of trees. The award-winning festival is one of the most acclaimed in the state. It takes place each year in the spring.

Schools, Health, Transportation

With 19 elementary schools, five junior high schools, and two high schools, the Hurst-Euless-Bedford Independent School District is one of the largest suburban school districts in Texas. It is also one of the most highly rated, with schools in the top 10% nationwide. Harmony Science Academy is a charter school in Euless that offers a comprehensive college preparatory program that emphasizes science, mathematics, and technology. St. Vincent’s School in Bedford is a Christian school that teaches children from pre-K through grade 12. For higher education, the The University of Texas at Arlington is close to all three cities.

The cities’ prime location in the DFW area means Hurst, Euless, and Bedford residents have their choice of facilities for medical care. Southwest Surgical Hospital is located in Hurst. The Texas Health Harris Methodist Hurst-Euless-Bedford Hospital is located in Bedford. North Hills Hospital is nearby in North Richland Hills. The Baylor Regional Medical Center at Grapevine at Grapevine is about six miles from Euless, and the Texas Health Arlington Memorial Hospital is just seven miles from Bedford. Cook Children’s Northeast Hospital in Hurst provides pediatric urgent care, diagnostic imaging, and surgical services to the region’s children.

The Trinity Railway Express runs right through the Mid-Cities area and offers regular commuter rail service to both Fort Worth and Dallas. There also are two Amtrak stations within 20 miles of Bedford and Euless (one in Fort Worth and one in Dallas), and the Dallas/Ft. Worth International Airport is less than 10 miles away.
