Colleyville City Council Approves New 10-Lot Subdivision on John McCain Road

On May 13, the Colleyville City Council unanimously approved the rezoning proposal for the new 10-lot Holt Farms subdivision.
The neighborhood, which will comprise 11.81 acres and be built around a cul-de-sac with a single entry point off John McCain Road, will be located southeast of the intersection of Bandit Trail and John McCain Road.
In line with the statement of planning objectives that Calais Custom Homes and the land planner, Sage Group, Inc., provided, the subdivision will feature upscale, custom-built homes starting at $2.5 million.
Concerns about the drainage system increasing floods on their property have been raised by residents of the Monticello area, which is near to the planned development.
Applicant Curtis Young addressed these concerns April 14 by moving where the drainage will be deposited and slowing the flow of the drainage so there won't be erosion.
