During its July 15 meeting, the Keller City Council unanimously voted against a proposed zoning change for an eight-lot subdivision called Heritage Grove.
The developer, Suma Monde Kapital Partners, wanted to build eight homes near Clara Lane and Indian Knoll Trail on lots that are at least 30,000 square feet. However, the area is currently zoned for larger lots which are 36,000 square feet or more.

City officials raised concerns about the lack of green space, the impact on nearby residents, and the push to reduce lot sizes through rezoning.
Developer William Solomon said the change would have allowed space for better drainage systems and helped create a more visually appealing community. He also mentioned that the gated design would offer privacy and reduce traffic in the neighborhood.
