What to Do in Grapevine, Southlake & Colleyville This October (2026)
October is when our corner of North Texas really shines. The mornings finally have a little crispness to them, pumpkins are lining front porches, and every weekend seems to bring another reason to head outside — from monarch butterflies floating through Grapevine to polka music echoing across Southlake Town Square. Whether you've called this area home for years or you're just getting to know it, here's our roundup of what's happening from mid-October into early November.
The short version: Don't miss the free Butterfly Flutterby in Grapevine (Sat., Oct. 17, 2026, 10 a.m.–2 p.m., Grapevine Botanical Gardens, 411 Ball St.), Oktoberfest Southlake (Oct. 16–18, 2026, Southlake Town Square, free admission) and Colleyville's Harvest Festival (Sat., Oct. 17, 2026, 10 a.m.–2 p.m., Heroes Park at City Hall, 90 Main St.). Grapevine Main LIVE! adds free tribute concerts on Peace Plaza every Friday and Saturday night through Oct. 31.
